ALDA-GS

(Association of Late-Deafened Adults-Garden State)

...is pleased to announce that Krystyna Makowksi, of Carlstadt has won this year's Barnhart Memorial Scholarship Award in the amount of $2000. She will attend Montclair State University in the fall. She aspires to become a high school biology teacher to deaf students.

We thank all who applied. It was a difficult decision, as so many highly qualified students competed. We urge all of you to try again next year.

This award is not restricted to high school students, but all deaf, late-deafened and hard of hearing people regardless of age are eligible. Keep in mind that late-deafened adults who have been working and would like to return to college or trade school are encouraged to apply. Membership in ALDA-GS is not a requisite.
