Workshops:

Our Fall, 2009 workshop will be held on October 31 at Monmouth County Library, Symmes Lane, Manalapan, NJ 07726, from 10 am to 2 or 3 pm. Since this is Halloween, costumes are encouraged and we may even have a contest. Our morning speaker will represent Sprint Relay. The afternoon is to be announced. Morning coffee and lunch are included in this free workshop.

Walk4Hearing:

We have been invited to again participate in the Hearing Loss Association-NJ Walk4Hearing to be held on October 17, 2009 at Mercer County Park in Hamilton Township, NJ.

Last year, a small group Team ALDABest represented us at the Inaugural HLA-NJ Walk4Hearing. at They were successful in raising funds that helped both organizations' goal to increase awareness about hearing loss. They were also successful in increasing ALDAwareness. For a full description of the fun and excitement take a look at the HLAA Walk4Hearing video.

Now, it is time to expand the team. This time we strongly encourage members to invite your family, friends and coworkers! We are also inviting ALDA-NJ to join us.  Together we can make this a banner year; it is never too early to start working towards success!  We understand that not everyone may be physically  able to complete a 5k  (3mile) walk, but that does not exclude you from helping.  ALDA-GS needs you! This is will be our primary fundraiser.

Our partnership with HLA-NJ allows us to split the net proceeds 50/50 AND help two great organizations work towards the same goal: to improve the lifestyle of those with hearing loss. The Walk4Hearing is a healthy, safe and fun way for all to gather and show solidarity.
